CONCRETE ROOF TILE
Concrete tile is available in several different shapes, designs, colors and can last the lifetime of your home. They are fire resistant and stand up to high winds and hail storms. Not limited to Sunbelt construction, concrete tiles can be used in cold climates provided proper installation procedures are followed. Modern concrete tile designs can simulate the appearance of traditional clay tiles, wood shake, slate and stone. The surfaces can be textured or smooth with edges that can be uniform or ragged and architects may select tiles of all one color, blended colors, or combinations of two or more shades placed in uniform or random patterns.
SHINGLE ROOF
Roof shingles were popular in the latter half of the 19th century, as a simple ornamentation of New England homes. What used to be rather uniform and unsophisticated (an architectural reaction to the fancy Victorian Style) has become over time varied, decorative and colorful, while maintaining its fundamental functional advantages. Clay roofing tile is a great choice for homes with a southwestern, Italian, Spanish Mission design or any modern, clean look. Tile is so durable that its expected life span is greater than the lifespan of the material on which the roofing rests. Tile won’t rot or burn and it can’t be harmed by insects. It requires little maintenance, and it comes in a variety of colors, types, styles and brands.
