Jim Burton

With nearly two decades of experience in the commercial roofing industry, Jim brings a practical, people-first approach to leading BDI Roofing Group. Throughout his 19-year career, he has served in project management, estimating, sales, and service, giving him a well-rounded understanding of the industry and the challenges customers face. He credits much of his success to the mentors who invested in him early in his career and helped shape the leader he is today.

As President, Jim is committed to building a culture rooted in teamwork, integrity, accountability, respect, and problem-solving. He believes lasting success comes from keeping commitments, working together, and continually seeking ways to deliver exceptional value to customers.

Jim’s vision for BDI Roofing Group is to be more than a roofing contractor. He wants every customer to experience a trusted partner who follows through on every promise, communicates openly, and consistently delivers quality work they can depend on.

What Jim enjoys most about the roofing industry is the people. He appreciates the unique personalities, experiences, and relationships that make the industry special, as well as the opportunity to solve new challenges every day.

Outside of work, Jim is married to his high school sweetheart and is the proud father of three children. He enjoys coaching youth football and wrestling, spending time hunting and fishing, and being outdoors with his family. He and his family are actively involved in their church and are grateful for the community they call home. A fun fact about Jim: he attended college on a soccer scholarship as a goalkeeper.
